The breadth of research that defines our department translates into a diverse graduate student body comprised of varied research interests and techniques. Our graduate students utilize a variety of sites throughout the commonwealth, and nation, to collect samples or as a natural laboratory. The natural diversity and landscape of the commonwealth has provided opportunities for the University to acquire locations where students conduct research or are utilized as outdoor classrooms.
