Daisy is a first year M.A. candidate. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky where she majored in English with Departmental High Honors, and minored in Modern and Classical Languages. Her research focuses on children's and young adult literature of the contemporary and modern eras. She also engages with new pedagogical techniques including paraphrastic and translanguaging approaches, with an emphasis on implementing these practices in secondary English curricula.
