Biography

I study the evolution of host-use specialization in pine sawflies. My focus is on chemosensation (the senses of taste and smell) and how genomic changes lead to the use of specific hosts. To investigate this, I use comparative genomics to look at the molecular evolution of related chemosensory genes across different species.
