Have a biology question?
Unsure...?
- Who to contact for about a course? Advising questions?
- Who to contact about the undergraduate program? Graduate program?
- Where is the lost and found?
- What faculty member specializes in...?
If you have any question at all, email biology@uky.edu and your question will get redirected to the right person.
MINORS
A minor is a structured group of courses that leads to a solid understanding of a subject, although with less depth than a major.
Depending on interests and career goals, some students choose to complement their major program with a minor in a related field or even in an entirely different field of interest.
The BA in Biology requires you to have a minor (option A) or a Topical Focus (option B).
TRACKS and ELECTIVES for the Biology major
If you are working towards a BS in Biology or a BA option B, you will need to declare a Track. The courses within the track count towards your Electives. More information on Tracks and Acceptable Upper-level Electives can be found here.
